Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 March 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of the MudBook iOS application and associated services, operated by Taylin Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using MudBook, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the App

MudBook is a personal studio management tool for ceramics practitioners. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms. You must not:

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at jason@taylindigital.com.

3. Subscription and Billing

MudBook is available on a subscription basis:

A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers. Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store. Cancellation, refunds, and billing disputes are handled in accordance with Apple's policies. You may cancel at any time via your App Store subscription settings.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within MudBook — projects, glaze recipes, photos, notes, and any other data you input. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service.

We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any purpose other than operating the app for you.

5. Data Export

You can export all your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Data Export). We provide export in CSV and JSON formats.

6. Service Availability

MudBook is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app is designed to work offline — your data is always available on your device regardless of server status.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taylin Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MudBook. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of MudBook at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. If you do not agree to changes, you may cancel your subscription.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
